YEA, RAIN!!!! After months of watching storms skirt around Dodge City, we came home today right between 2 storms that converged right over top town...WAHOO!!! It's raining cats and dogs and we are LOVING it!! We made it home just in time to put the vehicles inside and the downspout extensions on the house...haven't had to do THAT in awhile! Hoping it won't do much more than rain, but we are enjoying the sound of the downpour nevertheless. THANK YOU, GOD!!
Anyway, Happy Father's Day!Comments:Add a comment:

Well...we've managed to get 2 coats of paint on the house...now all we have left is windows and trim. Guttering will be going on later in the summer (we are at the mercy of the gutter guy's schedule). After that, the budget looks to be exhausted for this year, so that may be all we get done. But, neighbors have already commented on the improvement and how different the darker color makes the house look. Everyone seems to like it...what we can't get over is how the landscaping now seems to pop against the brown color of the house: it used to fade away against the white. Can't wait until everything is grown in completely!
Matthew's baseball is in full swing. They lost their first game last week, but not by much. He has another game this evening at 6:30 that we are all going to...he's pretty excited.
The new kitty is getting inducted into our family very well...he was hauled all over the yard yesterday in a toy shopping cart, a baby carrier, and the bike trailer. He was so exhausted by mid-afternoon, I had to take him away from Allison and the neighbor girl. The plus side, though: he's really, really used to people now and seems to enjoy their company. This at only 6 weeks of age! Ha!
Well, better get going...errands to run and the obligatory sunflower seeds to pick up for tonight's baseball game. Enjoy the week!Comments:Add a comment:
