Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day...please light a candle for those who lost their lives too early and for those parents who had to grieve for them. The goal is to light a candle at 7PM tonight, no matter what time zone you are in...a continuous "light around the world" in prayer.
Also today: Grandma Nancy, Grandpa Dennis, and Dennis's mother, Darlene, are all moving to Florida today. Keep them in your prayers for safe travels and for a swift move. Congratulations on the new job, Dennis! And congratulations on the new and exciting avenues your job will take you, Mom! We are all proud of you...
Dodge City received almost 4 inches of rain over the last few days...it was much needed and it came slow enough that we had no flooding issues. Hopefully, it's not too late for the benefits but we will take it no matter what. 'Course the rain did cause some headaches for farmers trying to harvest the soybeans...but I think that even they are happy with the rain.
Well, time to get lunch together, do some laundry and then sit down to work while Kara naps. The sunshine is trying to come out so we may try a walk this afternoon after school. Have a wonderful week!Comments:Add a comment:

After a long weekend, we are back home. We went to St. Joseph, MO to see our cousin, Cliff and his fiance, Amanda, get married (Congrats Cliff and Amanda!). It was a wonderful time and we were so glad that we went. We also got to meet our cousin Karl's new fiance, Kat (sp?). She is very nice and a a self-proclaimed "southern girl." We were able to see lots of family this weekend, including Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Dennis...nice to see them because they are moving in a couple of weeks to Florida so this was our last chance to visit with them before the move. We are going to miss them but we understand how exciting and what a wonderful opportunity this move is. We are looking forward to driving to Pensacola sometime soon to visit.
Got word that at the end of the month (if all works out), Grandpa Dave and Nana will be here for a visit...we are looking forward to that visit as well!
We are finally getting some much needed rain today. On our way home from Missouri, we actually had to pull over to the side of the road during a downpour about 20 miles east of Dodge City...it was impossible to see! The pelting rain was welcome, however...it got all of those "easterner bugs" off of our windshield! You don't realize how dry it is out here in Dodge until you go just a little bit east and the bug splatter picks up on the windshield! Hee! Hee!
This week: our cat, Kelly, goes under the knife to avoid any more kitties...finally....tomorrow. Matthew and Allie will continue school this week...Mom has to sing in a community concert on Friday at the Depot theater (with the Choral Union choir). Matthew has another football game this Saturday and Allie will have Dance Cats practice Saturday. Never a dull moment in Dodge!
Have a wonderful week!Comments:Lindy: I am glad that you had fun at the wedding - so did I. Cliff and Amanda are in Jamaica and we are taking care of Braydon and making sure he doesn't miss any of his social events, like the baseball games. If they win tomorrow they will have the championship for their division. Kinda exciting. Glad you didn't have to drive to long in the rain. Love you, LindyAdd a comment:
