At the request of several others, I finally got some new pictures posted! I've got some new ones of nieces and nephews also, but I've not got them downloaded yet, so bear with me. Anyway, ENJOY!
School has started and Matthew is flourishing as usual. He seems to be doing really well already and has said more than once that he likes school. He's met a new friend named Thomas who is really nice. Went to a Cub Scout meeting last night and he says it is something he's interested in so it looks like we've begun scouting!! Allison's preschool lost their teacher a week and a half before school started so we found a daycare with some preschool curriculum that allowed her to come a couple of times a week. But, earlier this week, her original preschool called and said a teacher had been found. Went to open house today and it looks like Allie will be going to the preschool we started with in the first place. She will start September 10th. It's closer to home which is nice and they meet 3 times a week for longer periods than the other place so she will get more social time. And judging by how she greeted everyone today, she won't have a lick of trouble! Kara's vocabulary has exploded!! She can usually tell you what she wants (in a limited fashion) and has impeccable manners (please, thank you, your welcome, bless you). She's really growing up way too fast....
Eric's Stewardship Day last weekend was a huge success! He's gotten a lot of positive feedback for it and although he is relieved that it is over, he's looking forward to next year. Looks like Eric has found his niche and really seems to be in his element here. It's a really nice thing to see...
I've finally become involved in a choir at church. It's called VOICES and they are a contemporary choir...I'm really going to like them: the've got some life and have some true talent! The few that are in the choir are very dedicated and seem to really enjoy ministering with their music! Yea!!!
Have finally had some cooler days around here and some rain. Been in the triple digits for weeks and we are really excited to watch the electric bill go down again! Ha!
Have a safe and wonderful Labor Day Weekend!Comments:Add a comment:

Just got home from the Midwest Catholic Family Conference! It appears that this was one of the biggest conferences yet! LOTS of families there...it was so refreshing to see all of those people, looking to improve their relationship with God and their families. We were able to see quite a few friends their as well: Aumillers, Kaisers, Soupisets...to name a few. Saw a lot of other people we knew that we were able to catch up with a little. Grandma Bev and Grandpa Dan were there, too. We had an excellent time and we are so blessed that we were able to spend the weekend learning more about the fullness of our faith and Christ's love for us, singing with hundreds of other enthusiastic voices, meeting new people, and spending time with friends and family. Catholic or not, I'd recommend that weekend to anyone...you'll come away with a fuller heart and a skip in your step!
We are gearing up for school in a couple of weeks...Matthew is getting excited and checks with Mom almost daily to be sure that all items have been gathered for the first day of school. We found out tonight when we arrived home that Allie's preschool has finally found a teacher so we can breathe a sigh of relief for that!
Things are slowly falling in to place here at the house. I got the carpets (mostly) shampooed last week...hope to finish this week. We've gotten 3 shrubs planted now around the house...already looking forward to spring next year to really get crankin' on the landscaping.
Well, it's late and I'm tired after a long weekend...next time you are near Dodge, give us a call and come for a visit! We'd LOVE to have you visit!Comments:Add a comment:
