Things are moving right along with the move. We have a house bought in Dodge City and our home here in Great Bend is sold. Lots of inspection hurdles to jump through (for both properties)...I'll be really happy when things are done and over with. All of us are ready to move.
Everyone's sicknesses finally seem to have left us. We have battled allergies but that's nothing new. Allison cracked open her chin on a see-saw last night. Saw the doctor this morning that Mommy works with and he said it was no big deal, but did apply a ster-strip to keep the wound closed....trying to avoid too bad of a scar you know! Allie was a trooper the whole time and even smiled at Doc at one point.
Eric is enjoying his job in Dodge City. He's been working there for over 2 weeks now and seems to really be in his element! We are very proud of him!
Memorial Day weekend was a crazy one for us. Received word that our Aunt Martha in Arizona has ovarian cancer and it's pretty bad...we are praying that she will recover from this 100% and that she is in good spirits. Grandpa Dennis lost his father to cancer (and other issues) on Thursday last week. We attended the funeral on Tuesday (29th). We send our condolences to him and his family. Grandma Nancy ended up in the hospital due to stress but is fine now. Whew!
Hope everyone's Memorial Day weekend was good and that you all stayed safe.Comments:Add a comment:

Another roadblock has been hurdled....our house has sold!!! Was only on the market for 3 days! Now begins the process of looking for a home in Dodge City....ugh. We go to Dodge tomorrow (Tuesday, 15th) to visit with a realtor and look at some homes. Eric starts his job in Dodge on Thursday, 17th....he's pretty excited.
Kara is on the mend finally....she had some sort of respiratory illness again that they couldn't quite pinpoint: told me it was bronchitis with possible croup and possible sinus infection. Oy. Well, several doctor visits last week, needle pricks, x-rays, and 3 different medicines later, she is finally back to her old self. Until the next time this hits....ha!
Matthew's last day of school is Thursday and he seems very excited for that to happen! I think he is really ready for school to be out. Combine that with the excitement of moving and he's REALLY ready to be done with school for awhile. Allie's last day of school is also Thursday (I think)...it doesn't seem to matter to her one way or the other that school is going to be out. She's really worried that Dodge City isn't in Kansas and she doesn't want to move "out of Kansas" so we are attempting to explain in 4-year-old terms about the move.
Well, I'd better go....lots of stuff to do and not a lot of time to do it in!
Comments:Nana: When the Good Lord wants something done He doesn't waste any time! Congrats on selling the house so quickly! Love to all!Add a comment:
