It has been crazy busy around here so it has been quite awhile since this was updated! There are lots of new photos to see so be sure to check those out in the photo albums!
Kara got her first tooth over the weekend!! Woo!Hoo! Or, I guess I should say first 2 teeth. Her two middle, bottom ones came in at the same time. We are sure glad to get over that hurdle as those stubborn teeth were sure causing some problems! She is walking along furniture now. No walking by herself although she has taken a step or two on her own and then promptly sat down. She's in to everything now that she's mobile and we really have to watch to be sure that she's not chewing on anything! She can also clap her hands and stand on her own. She's very good at bouncing to music while she's standing, too!
Allison and Matthew have both started school: Matthew is in 2nd grade and doing very well. Allison is in the Star-ters program (a 3 year old preschool) and loves it! It's so hard to believe that we now have two school-age kids...time passes too fast.
Fred, the beloved dog of Grandpa Neil (Arasmith), passed away over the weekend. Another era gone. I can still hear Grandma Donna hollering at Fred for barking every time the doorbell rang! He was very old and tired so we thank God that he's not suffering anymore. But, he will still be missed.
The weather here has finally become "fallish." Our tomato crop was a disaster, but that seems to be the cry all over the area. We managed to harvest a lot of green beans and we salvaged our corn after the hail storm (suprisingly). We ate the last of our potatoes the other day...we had one heck of a crop of those. Looking forward to next spring when we can start from scratch and try again. With the cooler weather, Eric and Chris are moving inside to fix up the house again. This time it's the kitchen. Eric is building new cabinet fronts and a new countertop and paint job is in the works. It's all moving slow, of course, as we have to wait before each new project for the budgeting to work, but at least it's getting done. Hoping to have the kitchen finished by spring, if not earlier.
Chris's Aunt Betty Skinner passed away this month, succumbing to cancer. Her memorial service will be October 21st and we will miss her. Our condolences also go out to her family as well.
Hope everyone is enjoying their fall and we are planning to see as many as possible for the holidays already...it's gonna be a busy fall!Comments:Add a comment:
