Ugh! It's a heat wave!! It's already 100 degrees outside and it's only 1:00 pm! They are talking 107 by the end of the day.....Eric and Chris made sure to get all the outside stuff done before lunch. So now, it's a lazy afternoon in the Haselhorst household in the air conditioning! So it's a nice slow weekend for all of us.
Just wanted to tell everyone to keep as cool as possible today! We look forward to more visiting this summer!Comments:Add a comment:

Had another appointment today for "Little Bean." She is growing by leaps and bounds! The doctor is finally satisfied that everything looks perfect so it appears today's ultrasound is the last one unless something else crops up, so that's good. She is measuring right on target (at around 22 weeks), fluid levels are normal, and her heartbeat was in the 150's. There has been lots of action lately for Mommy's belly and Matthew has spent a lot of evenings this week watching Mom's belly twitch and move! Allison is still insisting that Mommy's belly button is a window to see the baby and she also thinks that she has a baby in her tummy! It's too cute! Only 4 months to go, so we will soon be making plans for "Little Bean's due date (planned cesarean section). Mom is frantically trying to get some painting done in the house before her balance gets too far off and before exhaustion sets in! Daddy is trying to help where he can when he's not working at the bank or at UPS. We are beginning to dust off old baby things in the garage and are getting them ready, however, we are beginning to realize exactly how much we got sold or gave away, so this should be interesting. Thankfully, although there are those who think it's ridiculous, a terrific and very understanding co-worker of Mommy's is hinting at planning a baby shower to help with some of the necessesities that are either worn out or gone by now. Since we lost 2 babies, Mommy has adopted the opinion that ALL babies need celebrating, no matter what "number" they are in the family. So we've begun to register (as someone else suggested) as we so appreciate it when other parents-to-be register so we know what they do or don't need, no matter how short the list. However, Mommy is still beginning to "stock up" just in case on things like diapers and onsies! Mommy is thankful that she kept a lot of Allison's cutest clothes and Allie helped Mom pull them out, wash them, and put them in the baby's dresser. We are all excited and can't wait for November!!!! Whoo!Hoo!
Got to go to Topeka over the weekend and see Grandpa Dave, Nancy, Great-Grandpa Neil, and their crew on Saturday for Grandpa Dave's birthday. We had a terrific time and Matthew even got to ride on the quartet's big bus!! Cool! Earlier in the day, we went to Baldwin City and got to see and ride on Thomas the Tank Engine. The kids had a great time, although Mommy and Daddy were ready to leave after being in the heat and around all of those people! Ha! On Sunday, we got to celebrate Great-Grandma Isabelle's 90th birthday with Grandma Nancy, Dennis and family. It was nice to see relatives that we hadn't seen in awhile! Mommy's cousin Crystal and her kids were there as well as Mommy's Aunt Martha. We also got to see Uncle Will, Great-Aunt Harriet, Great-Aunt Virginia, Cousin Jean, and Cousin Judy and her husband Jim. It was a long trip home that evening, but we were glad that we had gone.....it had been awhile since we had been able to celebrate birthday's on that side of the state!Comments:Add a comment:

Got to go to Bowie, Texas over the weekend to see Uncle Greg, Aunt Amy, and cousins Ethan and Kaden. We got to celebrate Aunt Amy's birthday a little and the kids got to play in the really big dirt pile!!!!! Whoo! Hoo! Daddy and Uncle Greg got in on the act and turned the dirt pile into a large mud slide.....Mommy and Aunt Amy had never seen such dirty boys!
On the 4th, we drove back to Kansas with Aunt Amy, Ethan, and Kaden in tow (they are staying in Kansas for a week). We went to Grandma and Grandpa Haselhorst's to sit in their driveway and watch the city fireworks. It was really beautiful! The mosquitoes, of course, were terrible, but with enough spray, we all managed to stay outside for the entire show.
Unfortunately, it seems as if Mommy and Matthew have come home from Texas with terrible colds. We are coughing and sneezing our way through the days this week. Both Mom and Matthew are looking forward to when the colds go away! Ha!Comments:Add a comment:
