Well, we were hoping to pass along some good news to everyone. We found out about a month ago that we were pregnant again! We were so excited especially after we found out that the due date was Justin's birthday, April 27, 2005. Anyway, we wanted to wait until we had seen the heartbeat and knew that things were going well before we started telling everyone. However, even after seeing the heartbeat, we started to develop complications....we had 2 solid weeks of ultrasounds and blood tests to monitor things. We found out that the baby was implanted extremely low and that fact could cause some problems. Well it did. Last Wednesday (15th), Chris began to hemmorage. An ultrasound discovered, much to the suprise of everyone, that the baby was still alive...his/her little heart beating away as strong as ever. So we waited. And waited. Unfortunately, on Friday, September 17, 2004, another ultrasound revealed that our little Baby H. had passed away....no heartbeat was seen. Chris went in for surgery (D&C) instead of letting nature take it's course because of the excessive bleeding. We are very saddened, of course, of the loss of yet another child. Matthew had just been told that Mommy was expecting another baby and it's been hard for him to understand that we gave another baby to God. Allison, of course, does not realize any of what has gone on in the last 5 months....thank goodness for a toddler's life oblivious of tragedy. Thank you to those of you who were praying for us (our parents and siblings)....we ask those of you who are just now finding out to please pray for us again as we struggle with the realization that we now have two guardian angels watching over this family. God Bless each and every one of you.

Our first full week of school is over and Matthew has had a ball! He is loving All-Day Kindergarten and even wants to stay for the After-School program everyday (he only goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays)! He was chosen as the first student in his class to bring Ted E. Bear home to visit. This is Matthew's first homework assignment...he will need to draw a picture of Mr. Bear and then (with the help of one of us) he will write in a journal what he did with Ted this weekend. He is very excited about it!!
We have a very full Labor Day weekend planned...the circus is in town so for Daddy's birthday, we are all going to that tomorrow (5th). On Labor Day, we are going to the parade in Hoisington. Today, we are just doing some housework, yardwork and we plan on getting some limestone boulders to landscape with. This is a family project and everyone is going to help out!
Allie's new words of the week: "Game" "Ma" (Matthew) "Bowfly" (butterfly) and she figured out how to say "Tea" this morning while making suntea with Mom.
Justin's gravestone was picked out a few weeks ago. It should be in place by October. We are so glad to have that done. It seems to put some closure on this whole tragedy.
Have a great holiday weekend!Comments:Add a comment:
