The Haselhorst Kidz!! (and cousins!)

May 2004

Memorial Day has come and gone. We went to Justin's grave as a family and placed some flowers there that Mommy had put together. We also went to Mommy's grandfather's grave to put new flowers out. Everything looks really pretty. Allison got her first bike helmet today and got to ride on the back of Daddy's bike in toddler seat. Matthew had his first lesson on riding on busy streets....he only had one wipe out....hurt his pride more than anything (tried to blame the whole thing on the curb!) Yesterday, we celebrated Ethan's 1st birthday (nephew....his mommy and daddy brought him up here from Texas for a pool party and BBQ)! It's hard to believe he's one already! And Ethan is going to be a big brother!! The new baby is due in January.....so now we have 2 babies on the way in the Haselhorst family! We are all praying that Justin will put in a few good words to God to keep these babies safe and to keep them healthy! Congratulations Amy and Greg, Jason and Katie!

Another Haselhorst kid is on the way! Not for us yet, obviously, but for Eric's brother and his wife! We will have a new niece or nephew born come December! Due date is December 11, 2004.....Congratulations, you guys! We look forward to adding your little one to the play group....Matthew, Allison and Ethan (our other nephew from Eric's sister and her husband) are looking forward to his/her arrival!! YEA! This birth will be the perfect end to a chaotic year....hope is always around the corner and God always provides some happiness amidst the worst grief.

We had a nice suprise this evening...our friends from "back home" came to visit. Matthew was very excited to see his best friend and they had a blast! The two boys are growing up so fast but they never seem to lose the close friendship they have, even when living far away from each other.
