We celebrated Allison's birthday today! She is two years old and that is so hard to believe! We didn't have much of a party planned because it was in the middle of the week but we did manage to put together some cake and ice cream for a few family members who were in town. She got a few cards in the mail (some with presents in them!) and a few presents here at the house. She liked some of her presents so much, that she was sneaking out of bed until late at night trying to play with them! Ha!
With all of the birthday "hoopla" going on around here, that has Matthew thinking of his birthday coming up in January. He's already informing us of his Christmas and Birthday lists! He's been busy at school and there is a rumor that he has some sort of singing part in the school Christmas play (more info. later.....he's not been too forthcoming with the info. with Mom and Dad!). So we look forward to seeing the play.
Not much else is going on....it's been a whirlwind November already and Christmas is looming in the not so distant future. So now begins the visiting, the eating and the travelling.
We won't be seeing some of our relatives this Christmas because they will be busy welcoming new babies or resting for the new babies to come later in the winter (Greg and Amy M., Garrett and Amy A.). We are looking forward to welcoming these two new lives into our families and can't wait to meet all of them! We should be meeting one niece soon, however, as she is due to make her appearance any day now (hang in there, Katie!)....we can't wait for all three babies' arrivals!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!Comments:Add a comment:

Another Halloween has come and gone and our kids had a really good time....even though they both wore the same costumes as last year! Matthew couldn't be talked out of wearing his Batman costume again (even though it's almost too small) and Allison absolutely refused to wear the costume that was bought for her this year (she was supposed to be a Southern Belle, complete with a crown! It would have been soooooo cute!)....she cried until we let her put on the bee costume! Oh well. There are some battles you just need to concede defeat. Maybe next year. The kids got lots of candy and Allison even learned how to say "trick or treat!" It was so cute.....But, I don't know which they had more fun at: getting the candy or giving it out to other trick-or-treaters when they got home! Ha!
Earlier in the weekend, Matthew had a friend, Chandler, from Ness City, come to visit and spend the night. The boys had a ball and really enjoyed their playtime together. It was a hard goodbye, but we are looking forward to letting the boys get together again soon.
Now begins the planning for the holidays and we are looking forward to all of the visiting with family. We hope to see everyone as much as we can!Comments:Add a comment:
