I hope everyone is having a beautiful Christmas Eve!
Thank you to David Kauffman (composer/singer) for sending us the Companion on the Journey (COJO) Series Grief Journal/CD gift set! I met David in Indianapolis this summer...a few e-mails later and it was decided to put our story about Justin in his new COJO series on grief. We received our copies yesterday and it is really beautiful. Justin''s story isn''t, of course, the only one in the journal, but it is among good company. Each story depicts a different situation and really make you think of how to get through your grief and get back on the path to God. We are honored that we were asked to participate and we can only pray that in some way, these journals help others who are traveling along in grief. God Bless you, David, and everyone at Good For The Soul Music (www.goodforthesoulmusic.com).
Attended the memorial Mass for Father Joseph Bahr today...a terrific priest from Garden City who collapsed suddenly and passed away last week. Mass was beautiful and it was so wonderful to see the outpouring of love from the large amout of people there.
On a happier note, the kids opened gifts tonight (a shift from our normal tradition of Christmas morning, but early travels tomorrow made us decide to change to this evening). They had a ball...Matthew''s mouth was hanging open when he opened up his electric train. Has been playing with it all evening. The puzzles were a huge hit with Kara...she hardly moved and we couldn''t get her to open any more of her gifts, so we left her to her fun. Allison fell in love with most everything she got (including what other people received!). Had a hard time convincing her we couldn''t pack all of it for a trip to Topeka tomorrow! Ha! I received a beautiful bracelet from Eric...uh...I mean, Santa...that has all three kids'' names on it. Thank you, Am-uh-Santa, for making such a beautiful gift. I love it and it fits perfectly. Eric really like the clothing he received and the chimenea cover was a true hit!
Well, better get to packing...early Christmas Day Mass tomorrow morning and a big day on the road ahead. Headed to Topeka for Christmas there! May all of you have a Blessed Christmas week!
